A look back on 2024 and a look forward to 2025

As the festivities draw to a close, we take the time to look back on the year and the countless achievements of our team. From a re-structure of the firm, to multiple qualifications and professional progression, 2024 leaves us stronger than ever before and truly excited for the new year ahead.

Well, as we are sure most will agree, 2024 has flown by us all and we truly cannot believe that this time has come round again! And what a year it has been for us all here at Lancashire Law. We continued to grow from strength to strength and believe 2025 will be one of our best years yet.

Following the re-structure of the firm in summer, we saw our team grow with the addition of Hollie Hunter as a paralegal within our conveyancing team. Joining us from a large firm in the North West, she is a true asset to the team and is on track to qualify as a Solicitor in 2026. She has over five years’ experience within residential conveyancing and is flourishing in her role.

Our conveyancing team also grew with the addition of Ellie Hooson. Ellie graduated from the University of Liverpool with First Class Honours LLB and then went on to qualify with distinction on the Legal Practice Course. She is also hoping to qualify as a Solicitor in the near future.

We also celebrated the internal progression and qualification within our conveyancing team with Ellyn Mills concluding her Paralegal Apprentice studies and progressing with flying colours onto the Solicitor Apprenticeship. Our Paralegal, Sophie, is also continuing to navigate and succeed through the Solicitors Qualification Exam (SQE.) Consistently receiving positive feedback from clients, the entirety of our ever-growing conveyancing team have been a credit to the firm and we are certain that this will not only continue in 2025 but exceed expectations.

We also welcomed family Solicitor, Elizabeth Bates. Also joining us from a large North West firm, Liz has a wealth of experience in all matters of Family Law. Liz splits her time between both our Milnrow office and our Todmorden office, she is also able to offer virtual/phone appointments to suit clients needs. Liz is the epitome of both compassion and professionalism and will no doubt continue to run the Family department to the highest of standards.

Overall, we could not be prouder of our team, and we are certain that the New Year will only strengthen this. Whilst we have undergone some change following the de-merger with our Shaw and Whitworth offices, this has only served to establish us further as a firm. Working closely with other local firms, agents, mortgage brokers, financial advisors etc, we feel to be an integral part of not only our local community, but in Anglesey, Wales also! Working closely with an estate agent there, Director and Solicitor, Belinda, frequently attends meetings with clients there and is able to offer all usual services, whether in person or virtual.

Both myself (Ellie) and Belinda remain extremely optimistic for what 2025 has in store for us all and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and custom over the past twelve months. Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year!
